The Moocall HEAT is a collar worn by a stock or a teaser/vasectomised bull, cows and heifers should have Moocall eartags attached to them. It uses cow-bull proximity, mounting behaviour and bull activity levels to determine when a cow or a heifer is in heat.
There are great benefits to using AI, such as access to top genetics, a better selection on the type of sire used and semen quality and with some consideration and good management it can be done successfully on many suckler farms.
