When a cow gets a contraction her tail moves in a specific way and that’s the data our device can measure. Our calving sensor gathers around 600 pieces of data every second, the algorithm then filters this and when it reaches a certain threshold the first high activity alert is triggered.

Then we send an SMS alert to up to 2 phones to ensure that you can be present when calving occurs, usually about 1 hour prior to calving. We also send email and app notifications to give you that extra layer of cover.
How to setup the Moocall

Ensure your sensor is fully charged.

Place the sensor on the tail of a cow close to calving.

When you register your Moocall Calving Sensor you will receive an email with your login details for the MyMoocall dashboard. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one by clicking on ‘Reset Password’.
The Moocall Calving Sensor should be attached to the cow’s tail 3-4 days before her due date. You will notice a few visual signs on her that will tell you exactly when it’s the best time to let us go to work!
