Breedmanager is our FREE herd and breeding management app.
When it comes to managing your herd, we think differently about it. Rather than showing you all your cows, heifers and cattle in one long list (essentially a glorified spreadsheet), we break it down to show you the information you want, when you want it. We also make it easy to add relevant information about each animal.
We know that when it comes to your in-calf cows, you only really need to pay attention to the ones that are due to calve in the next week or so. Or when it comes to getting them bred, you only need to watch them when they are due to cycle, not when they are mid cycle.
To give you the information you need, we use Smart Lists. We divide your herd into manageable subsets, based on what stage of the breeding lifecycle that animal is at – we split your herd into:
- In-calf – this smart-list features all cows and heifers that have been marked as in-calf. It highlights those that are due to give birth in the next 7 days and also includes a list of animals that recently calved. Swipe left to add a calving; swipe right to add a calving sensor to that animal.
- Cycling – this section lists all cows and heifers that are cycling, and makes it easy to see which are due to cycle this week. Swipe right on an animal to mark it as in-heat; swipe left to mark it as inseminated.
- In-heat – lists all cows and heifers marked as in heat in the last 24 hours, and a longer historical list of all heats in the last 90 days. Swipe left or right on an animal to mark it as inseminated.
- Inseminated – this shows a list of animals you inseminated, highlighting those who are due to repeat this week. Swipe left to assume in calf or swipe right to mark the animal as in-heat.
We also give you the ability to track your cows, heifers, calves, bulls and beef cattle at an animal level. Easily see all events historically added to an animal such as calving events, heats, inseminations, weights, temperament, historic calving difficulty and also you can add notes to specific animals.
The app also features a great community module. This is an area where Breedmanager by Moocall users can share pictures, ask questions and generally see how our customers from all over the world are farming. If you like pictures of cows, you will love it!
